A rare example from Hermès’ historic equestrian workshops, this vintage close contact jump saddle reflects the craftsmanship that established the house long before its leather goods became internationally renowned. Handcrafted in Belgium for Hermès Paris, it is sculpted from rich Havana brown leather that has developed a deep, authentic patina through years of careful use. Every stitch, contour, and hand finished edge speaks to the maison’s uncompromising standards. Included with the saddle are its blue protective storage cover and a genuine shearling saddle pad, making this an exceptional offering for the collector, rider, or designer seeking an authentic piece of Hermès equestrian history.

Condition


Preowned vintage condition with attractive wear consistent with age and decades of responsible use. The leather exhibits a rich, naturally developed patina with expected scuffs, creasing, and surface character throughout. Original hardware remains present with light age-related oxidation. The blue storage cover and shearling saddle pad are included and show light signs of use consistent with age. Due to the saddle’s vintage age, all billets and structural components should be inspected by a qualified saddle fitter before riding. Presents beautifully as both a functional saddle and an increasingly scarce Hermès collectible.
